Terms of Service
Last updated: April 28, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the https://palmerseptic.comwebsite and any septic services provided by Palmer Environmental & Septic LLC (“Palmer Septic,” “we,” “us,” “our”). By using this site or booking a service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site or our services.
1. Scope of services
Palmer Septic provides residential septic tank pumping, emergency septic pumping, and septic effluent filter installation and cleaning. We do not provide new septic system installation, drain field repair, septic system maintenance, pump replacement, switch installation, distribution box work, or septic riser installation. Those services were retained by Mueller Septic Services per our April 25, 2026 asset purchase agreement; we are happy to refer those calls to Mike Mueller directly.
2. Service area
We serve Stokes, Forsyth, Guilford, Rockingham counties in North Carolina, including Walnut Cove, King, Madison, Mayodan, Stoneville, Danbury, Germanton, Rural Hall, Pinnacle, Pilot Mountain, Winston-Salem, Kernersville, Reidsville, Eden, Greensboro, and surrounding communities within approximately 45 minutes of Walnut Cove. We do not currently work in Surry or Yadkin counties.
3. Pricing and estimates
Prices posted on this site are for typical residential jobs and are confirmed in writing or verbally before any work begins. Posted prices may not include charges for:
- Unusual access conditions (steep terrain, distance from truck parking, locked gates, dangerous animals).
- Tanks larger than standard residential sizes (over 2,000 gallons).
- Hazardous materials or contaminated waste requiring special disposal.
- After-hours emergency response surcharges.
- Services performed outside our published service area.
If conditions on site differ materially from what was described when booking, we will provide a revised estimate before continuing work. You may decline the revised estimate, in which case you owe only a trip fee equal to our standard digging fee.
4. Booking and cancellation
Bookings made online are requests for service. We confirm by phone before dispatching the truck. We ask for at least 24 hours notice on cancellations so we can serve another customer. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice may incur a $50 short-notice fee at our discretion. No-shows (we arrive at the scheduled time and no one is available) are billed the standard digging fee.
5. Payment terms
Payment is due upon completion of work unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept:
- Credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover) processed securely by Stripe.
- Bank transfer (ACH) processed by Stripe.
- PayPal, including PayPal Pay in 4 (interest-free 4-installment plan).
- Financing through Wisetack (subject to credit approval; terms set by the lender).
- Cash or personal check payable to Palmer Septic Services.
We do not store your full card number, CVV, bank account number, or PayPal password. All payment data is handled by PCI-DSS-certified processors. You may receive a receipt showing the last 4 digits of the card used.
Past-due invoices accrue interest at the lesser of 1.5% per month or the maximum rate allowed by North Carolina law. Accounts more than 60 days past due may be referred to a collection agency, with reasonable collection costs and attorneys’ fees added to the balance.
6. Financing through third parties
Financing offers shown on our site are provided by independent third parties (Wisetack, PayPal). Approval, terms, interest rates, fees, and repayment schedules are set by those providers, not by Palmer Septic. We may receive a fee from these providers when a customer uses their service. You should review the provider’s terms before agreeing to any financing.
7. Workmanship and warranty
We perform pumping work to commonly accepted industry standards in North Carolina. We warrant our pumping work for 30 days from the date of service against defects in workmanship. We are not responsible for:
- Pre-existing system failures, root intrusion, drain field saturation, or pump/electrical failures present before our service.
- Damage caused by undisclosed underground utilities, irrigation lines, sprinkler systems, or invisible-fence wires within reasonable digging proximity to the tank lid.
- Settlement or revegetation of disturbed soil.
- System failures resulting from continued use without addressing underlying maintenance issues we have identified and recommended.
Our maximum liability for any claim arising from pumping work is limited to the amount paid for that specific service.
8. Effluent filter warranty
New septic effluent filters are warranted for 1 year against manufacturer defects. A filter is a maintenance component that catches solids; it requires periodic cleaning to function and can clog between cleanings under heavy use. Clogging from normal use is not a defect. Filter cleaning restores function but does not extend the warranty period.
9. Customer responsibilities
- Provide accurate information about tank size, location, and access conditions when booking.
- Mark or disclose underground utilities (call NC 811 before any digging is required).
- Restrain pets and provide safe vehicle and equipment access.
- Pay invoices on time per Section 5.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Palmer Septic is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost rental income, or property damage beyond our direct work. Our total liability for any claim arising out of or related to our services is limited to the amount paid by you for the specific service in question. This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory (contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or otherwise).
11. Insurance
Palmer Environmental & Septic LLC carries commercial general liability insurance and commercial auto insurance as required by North Carolina law. Certificates of insurance are available on request for commercial customers and HOA contracts.

15. Indemnification

16. Dispute resolution
We try to resolve disputes informally first. If you have a complaint, please contact us at 336-600-3290 or help@palmerseptic.com and give us a reasonable opportunity to make it right.
If informal resolution fails, any dispute arising from these Terms or our services shall be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, in Stokes County, North Carolina, except that you may bring an individual claim in small-claims court if eligible. You and Palmer Septic each waive the right to a jury trial and the right to participate in a class action.
17. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. The exclusive venue for any matter not subject to arbitration is the state and federal courts located in Stokes County, North Carolina.
18. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.
19. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent version. Material changes will be communicated by updating this page; your continued use of our services after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
